Spirit Week: Round Two
Students love a chance to dress up! There is no better example of this than WAHS spirit weeks. For the second time this year, SGA has hosted a spirit week as a prelude do the pep rally. Student participation was record high again, just as it was in the fall. In fact, teacher participation was impressive this year as well.
This year, SGA has worked to add dress-up days to the agenda that would be of high interest to students in an effort to encourage more student participation. Any veteran student or teacher would report, I think, that participation in Spirit Week has increased drastically this year! High interest days, such as Western Day, Social Swap Day, and Generation Day, have replaced some of the more mundane days of other spirit weeks; and who can resist the all time favorite, Dress Like Your Favorite Disney Character Day?
