Students Treat Their Parents to a Thanksgiving Feast
The students in Mrs. Bonnie Williams's class have been busy cooking up a storm! They have prepared a Thanksgiving feast for their parents and families. This annual event in Mrs. Williams's class has gained a lot of recognition in the school and community, and it is a day that students' family members certainly look forward to each year.
The students design and prepare a menu for the feast. They work with the Family and Consumer Science students (who very willingly share their kitchens!) to prepare the meal. Then on the day of the event, the students themselves serve and wait on their parents. Also in attendance are school and district administrators, fellow teachers, and the lucky students assigned to cover the story for the school yearbook and newspaper!
